President's Message - Winter 2022
Happy New Year! Wow 2022 !
I'm sure that those of us who were born in the 20th century would all agree that the 21st century is going way too damn fast and has no signs off slowly down. Time waits for no one, so take a step back and take time to smell the roses. I feel that 2022 will be a year like no other and I mean that in a good way.
After living in the age of a pandemic for the past two years, that has controlled our lives in so many ways, there looks like a light at the end of the tunnel! Covid-19 will rear one of its ugly heads from time to time but for the most part we have ways to fight it.
So to Covid-19, "Goodbye, good riddance and don't let the door hit you on your way out!"
The last Dragland Family reunion was in 2017 in the beautiful city of Kelowna, BC. I haven't spoken to any of the other Dragland Family Association directors yet about a 2022 reunion, so you are hearing this here first. I am proposing a Dragland reunion for the fall (October) 2022. All ideas of places to meet from anyone are welcome and appreciated.
At this time we have six Board members:

- Associate Member
• Free
• Eligible to receive family newsletter
• May have name/phone number/email address
published on directory (if desired)
• May submit stories and photos for the website
• Receives invitation to family reunions and other events
• Eligible for password to detailed (confidential) family tree
- Regular Member
• Dues are $30 per year (payable on your birthday)
• Includes all benefits of Associate Member, plus:
• Eligible for dragland.org email address
- Gold Member
• Dues are $100 per year (payable on your birthday)
• Includes all benefits of Regular Member, plus:
• Entitled to a free "guest" account at Ancestry.ca
• Eligible to receive annual financial statements
• Eligible to serve on planning committees
• Eligible for a seat on the DFA Board of Directors
